Production Shift Controller

Lead, manage, and support a team of Production Line Leaders and Operatives across shifts, ensuring colleagues are trained, scheduled effectively, and performing to a high standard.

Motivate and engage teams to consistently achieve hourly and daily production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Monitor product quality to ensure all finished goods meet client, company, and industry specifications, identifying and escalating any issues where necessary.

Maximise production efficiency to ensure operational plans are delivered on an hourly and daily basis.

Use integrated management systems accurately to support the smooth running of the operation.

Promote and uphold best practice across health, safety, and quality, including routine safety checks, incident support, and compliance with site procedures.

Support continuous improvement initiatives that help reduce waste, improve workflow efficiency, and lower manufacturing costs.

Ensure all paperwork and system updates are completed accurately and in line with company procedures.

Previous experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.

Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader position, with a strong track record of delivering production targets.

Good understanding of manufacturing machinery, production processes, and operational best practice.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and engage a diverse workforce.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make quick and effective decisions in a fast-moving environment.

Health & Safety Level 2 and NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading or Packing Operations would be advantageous.
