Production Planning Coordinator

Key responsibilities

• Production Planning: Collaborate with various departments within the operations, supply chain and sales, to create a comprehensive production schedule based on customer demands, inventory levels, and production capacity. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including material sku’s to achieve production goals while minimizing waste and downtime. Inventory Management: Work closely with purchasing/inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels and help reduce excess inventory. Production Coordination: Coordinate with managers and group leads to ensure smooth workflow, resolve production-related issues, and maintain on-time delivery. Process Optimization: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times and identify opportunities for sot reductions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to align production schedules with sales forecasts, inventory plans and business objectives. Required Skills/Experience: Must have a HS Diploma; some college or specialized training preferred. 2+ years of work experience in an office setting; preferably in manufacturing but not required. Self-starter and able to perform the job with minimal supervision once trained. Proficient in the use of computers and/or MMI ERP system Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various teams. Strong work ethic and attendance Proficient with Microsoft Outlook Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Willingness to work OT as required to complete daily work.
