About the company

Mitsumi Distribution is an IT distribution company operating across the Middle East and Africa, partnering with global technology brands through a channel ecosystem.

Job purpose

The Product Manager manages the product lifecycle for enterprise infrastructure and data centre solutions.

Scope includes vendor management, inventory planning, pricing, product positioning, sales support, and profitability.

The role works with vendors, sales, supply chain, and key customers to grow revenue, optimize inventory, reduce ageing stock, and improve gross margins.

Vendor and brand management

  • Build relationships with vendors and brand principals for enterprise infrastructure brands.
  • Coordinate roadmaps, pricing, forecasts, stock availability, promotions, rebates, and marketing development funds.
  • Develop joint business plans, sales targets, and quarterly business reviews with vendors.
  • Communicate product launches, end-of-life announcements, warranty policies, and market developments.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, special pricing, deal registrations, and stock-rotation support.

Inventory planning and pricing

  • Plan inventory using forecasts, market demand, vendor lead times, and confirmed project requirements.
  • Monitor availability, turnover, slow-moving stock, ageing inventory, stock exposure, open purchase orders, and forecast accuracy.
  • Develop actions to liquidate ageing and excess stock and coordinate optimal stock levels with sales and supply chain teams.
  • Manage product pricing, distributor margins, special bids, price lists, cost updates, and margin reports.
  • Review quotations for competitiveness and margin protection; monitor market pricing, competitors, foreign exchange effects, and vendor costs.
  • Track revenue, gross profit, margin performance, and product-level profitability against targets.

Sales and customer support

  • Provide product and commercial support to sales, including quotations, specifications, configurations, pricing, and availability.
  • Identify business opportunities and product pipelines with sales teams, supporting revenue and gross-margin targets.
  • Support partner and customer meetings, presentations, training, and vendor-led sales initiatives.
  • Develop product-focused campaigns and strategies to improve market penetration and channel engagement.
  • Build relationships with strategic accounts, system integrators, resellers, and enterprise customers; understand demand, projects, and procurement plans.
  • Support strategic accounts, resolve product escalations, coordinate fulfilment, and develop account-specific product strategies.

Reporting and coordination

  • Prepare reports on sales, inventory ageing, stock coverage, gross margins, and vendor performance.
  • Maintain product forecasts, demand plans, pricing records, and inventory reports.
  • Coordinate with finance on vendor claims, rebates, credit notes, and profitability reconciliation.
  • Work with procurement, logistics, finance, marketing, and sales teams to support business operations.

Requirements

  • Experience managing the product lifecycle for enterprise infrastructure and data centre solutions, including vendors, inventory, pricing, sales support, and profitability.
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships, product roadmaps, pricing, forecasts, stock availability, promotions, rebates, and joint business planning.
  • Ability to plan inventory, monitor ageing and turnover, and develop actions for excess or slow-moving stock.
  • Commercial capability in product pricing, distributor margins, special bids, quotations, and gross-margin performance.
  • Ability to support sales teams with product specifications, configurations, pricing, availability, and customer or partner presentations.
  • Experience developing business opportunities, product pipelines, sales campaigns, and revenue and margin performance.
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic accounts, system integrators, value-added resellers, and enterprise customers.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain sales, inventory, margin, forecast, and vendor performance reports.
