Responsibilities
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for one or more Record-to-Report products or capabilities.
- Understand stakeholder needs across Accounting, Finance Operations, Controllers, Treasury Accounting, FP&A, Regional Finance, and audit.
- Translate accounting policies, business processes, and control requirements into product requirements and scalable system solutions.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, data, analysis, and implementation teams to design, build, and operate products.
- Prioritize the backlog based on value, risk reduction, regulatory and control requirements, user needs, and technical dependencies.
- Define success measures and monitor automation, reconciliation coverage, exceptions, manual effort, close timelines, posting quality, and control adherence.
- Drive discovery, process mapping, solution evaluation, and delivery through adoption and operationalization.
- Establish system ownership, data lineage, and integration boundaries across SAP, data platforms, and related applications.
- Improve month-end close speed, accuracy, and predictability; ensure security, compliance, audit, SOX, and financial-control expectations are met.
- Support global process standardization, entity onboarding, organizational change, and platform transformation.
- Communicate product decisions, priorities, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Work with users during testing, rollout, and adoption; align with other Product Managers on platform capabilities and architecture.
Experience and qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Finance Technology, Accounting Systems, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of overall IT experience is preferred.
- Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, or enterprise accounting products is required.
- SAP S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred.
