Product Manager

Role overview

What you’ll do

• Maintain the combined product roadmap and order backlogs against agreed priorities.
• Facilitate cross-product backlog refinement and sprint planning; recommend prioritization and schedule agreed decisions.
• Check work items for completeness, estimates and readiness before sprint entry.
• Coordinate Product, Delivery and Engineering and keep progress, priorities and status aligned.
• Sequence engineering work queues and track capacity, dependencies and work in progress.
• Maintain the shared platform backlog and its dependencies with product backlogs.
• Coordinate client UAT and follow work through release.
• Report on roadmap progress, queue status and backlog health.

What the employer is looking for

• Experience maintaining a product backlog or roadmap in a technology, AI or software delivery role.
• Organized approach to competing requests and confidence facilitating planning with product, client-facing, delivery and engineering colleagues.
• Attention to detail in work items, acceptance criteria, estimates and dependencies.
• Practical understanding of software design, development and release.
• Working knowledge of GenAI, large language models and agentic AI to discuss feasibility and sequencing.
• Clear written communication and disciplined decision recording.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Preferred experience

• Azure DevOps Boards, delivery plans or equivalent tooling.
• Scrum, Kanban or flow-based work management.
• AI-assisted or agentic software delivery.
• SaaS products, cloud platforms, shared platform dependencies, or public sector service delivery.

Workplace and travel

• Remote within the UK, with occasional travel to Basingstoke and client sites.

Pay and benefits

• Full-time, permanent role with salary up to £45,000.
• £100 monthly working-from-home allowance, healthcare plan, pension scheme and 25 days’ holiday.
• Professional development and relevant qualifications are supported; formal qualifications are not required.
