Overview
We are hiring an experienced **Procurement Specialist – Packaging Materials** for a leading **manufacturing company**.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in packaging materials, production processes, and supplier management within the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for packaging materials in line with production and quality requirements
- Manage vendor negotiations, pricing, contracts, and cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure consistent availability of packaging materials to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
- Monitor and control quality of incoming packaging materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and planning teams to align procurement with operational needs
- Maintain supplier performance metrics and manage continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay updated on market trends, alternative materials, and supply chain risks
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement of **packaging materials** within a **manufacturing environment**
- Strong understanding of packaging production fundamentals, material properties, and quality standards
- Mandatory experience in the **UAE market** with established knowledge of local suppliers and sourcing channels
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost control skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience handling multiple packaging categories (plastic, paper, cartons, flexible packaging, etc.)
