Role overview
Oversees contractor procurement and materials for a Restoration Project, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and company policies while supporting cost-effective and timely delivery.
Procurement and tendering
- Align project procurement needs and objectives with the PMT.
- Manage long-lead item procurement, tender packages, tender coordination, bid evaluation, and agreement administration.
- Develop project-wide and individual procurement plans, including spare-parts and bulk-material plans.
- Prepare a closeout and materials reconciliation plan.
Contractor oversight and materials
- Manage contractor procurement activities for Gates 3–5 and review contractor procedures and purchasing documents.
- Coordinate materials management and spare-parts acquisition, and monitor expediting and delivery slippage.
- Report procurement progress, schedule and cost data, issues, and mitigation plans to the PMT.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in a listed field, including business, accounting, commercial, engineering, project management, supply chain management, law, communications, technology, mathematics, or statistics.
- Eight years' experience in a business-related function, including four years in oil and gas.
- Demonstrable understanding of procurement best practice and in-depth knowledge of the oil and gas procurement market and key vendors.
- Excellent written and spoken English, advanced computer literacy, autonomy, and ability to handle diverse tasks.
Compensation
- Compensation is a day rate in USD plus allowance.
Schedule and duration
- Work schedule is 10 hours per day, six days per week.
- The assignment duration is 36 months, with possible extension.
Location
- The role is located in Qatar.
