Key Responsibilities
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct implementation of procedures and controls.
- Conduct research and analysis to ensure sourcing and procurement strategies are current and effective.
- Develop and implement facilities and contracts with contractors and suppliers.
- Manage company projects related to procurement and handle sensitive issues effectively.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure value for money.
- Provide procurement advice to influence strategic directions within the company.
- Deliver regular updates and detailed reports on procurement activities and performance.
- Develop and administer standard contracts for goods and services across the organization.
- Manage expectations and provide innovative solutions to complex procurement issues.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational needs.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved service quality.
- Facilitate training and development sessions for procurement team members on best practices and new technologies.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
- Perform additional job-related projects or assignments as required by business needs and requested by the manager.
