What you'll do

  • Translate business demand into procurement plans, forecasting models, and long-term supply strategies.
  • Develop sourcing approaches that balance commercial value, risk, and security of supply with business leaders.
  • Define programme delivery models, commercial structures, and go-to-market strategies for large-scale procurement.
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing events and contract awards with Category Managers and Sourcing teams.
  • Provide procurement input to programme sanctioning, business cases, and cost forecasting.
  • Coordinate suppliers, manage contract performance and claims, and engage stakeholders to deliver programmes.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain, commercial, and delivery risks; recommend actions to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead supplier engagement and build partnerships supporting innovation, resilience, and long-term value.
  • Capture lessons learned, embed continuous improvement, and develop high-performing collaborative teams.

What you'll need

  • Significant experience in end-to-end procurement, supply chain programme management, or major project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, commercial strategy, and supply chain management in complex infrastructure or regulated environments.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including cost modelling, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to communicate and influence at senior levels internally and externally.
  • Experience leading negotiations, managing disputes, and achieving positive commercial outcomes.
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience navigating complex programmes and competing priorities.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions and business areas.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, manage risk, and turn insight into action.

Compensation and benefits

  • Bonus is based on personal and company performance.
  • Contributory pension scheme offers double matching up to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
