Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced **Procurement Officer** with at least 10 years' experience in the construction industry.

The role requires strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement planning to support large-scale construction and MEP projects while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full procurement lifecycle for construction projects
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost savings
  • Manage high-value procurement packages (materials, equipment, subcontracting)
  • Prepare and review Purchase Orders (POs), contracts, and agreements
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials in coordination with project/site teams
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delays or disputes
  • Control procurement budgets and track cost optimization initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, company policies, and UAE regulations
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Generate procurement reports and forecasts for management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of procurement experience in construction/Engineering
  • Proven experience handling large-scale or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, technical specifications, and suppliers
  • Experience in local and international sourcing
  • Advanced negotiation and contract management skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in cost control, budgeting, and value engineering
