Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies and manage end-to-end purchasing and sourcing of food and non-food FMCG products.
• Evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors; secure competitive prices and favorable credit and payment terms.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, supplier performance, and new product opportunities; plan purchasing against forecasts, stock, demand, and business needs.
• Maintain availability while limiting overstock, shortages, and expiry; coordinate with sales, warehouse, logistics, and finance.
• Manage purchase orders, supplier contracts, delivery schedules, documentation, lead times, quality, and delivery performance.
• Analyze costs, negotiate bulk discounts, improve profitability, establish procurement policies and supplier evaluations, and ensure UAE regulatory and company-policy compliance.
• Prepare procurement reports, budgets, cost analyses, and performance reviews for senior management.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant procurement experience; the posting also specifies 10 years in an FMCG wholesale division as required.
• Proven procurement management experience in wholesale or high-volume distribution.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG categories, supplier networks, sourcing strategies, and market pricing.
• Expertise in supplier negotiation, cost control, and strategic purchasing; experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, stock management, and expiry control.
• Commercial awareness of gross margins, purchasing costs, and profitability.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel; procurement or inventory software experience is preferred.
• Leadership, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple suppliers, high-volume purchasing, and tight schedules.
• UAE market experience is highly preferred.

Compensation

• Monthly salary is AED 15,000–20,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
