Role overview

Procurement responsibilities

• Support sourcing, negotiation, and management of goods and subcontract procurement.
• Ensure Kier Group and framework procurement policies are followed, including health and safety accreditation and sustainability standards.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to balance contractual risks and KPIs and deliver best value.
• Develop and manage preferred suppliers and strategic partnerships for high-quality, value-for-money services.
• Lead compliance with framework contract obligations and drive approval processes with clients.
• Manage and prioritize procurement activities, develop project procurement plans, and attend client workshops.

Candidate requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent and proven experience in a similar industry role.
• Chartered CIPS membership, working toward chartership, or an appropriate professional qualification.
• Strong infrastructure or utilities sector experience, including civil engineering and MEICA requirements.
• Excellent self-management, communication, IT, analytical, numerical, and planning skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and knowledge of SAP SRM and Jaggaer systems.
