Requirements
- Minimum 6–10 years of Gulf experience, especially in a construction company.
Procurement and vendor management
- Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to identify MEP material and equipment requirements.
- Source and procure materials, equipment, and subcontracted services against project needs and approved vendor lists.
- Identify and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors; request quotations, evaluate offers, and prepare comparison sheets.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms, and maintain supplier relationships.
Coordination and compliance
- Coordinate material forecasts with project, site, MEP, planning, cost-control, and QA/QC teams.
- Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and procurement schedules; maintain supplier evaluations, approvals, and material submittals.
- Ensure compliance with project and client requirements, applicable codes, company policies, contracts, and ISO or quality management standards.
Delivery, costs, and reporting
- Follow up on deliveries and coordinate storage, handling, distribution, shipping, and customs clearance for imported items.
- Monitor costs against budgets, analyze market trends and supplier performance, mitigate risks, and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
- Provide status reports, update procurement logs and vendor databases, and escalate issues with proposed solutions.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,000–8,000 per month.
