We are seeking a skilled and motivated Procurement Engineer to join our team at BG Group.
The Procurement Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services essential for our villa construction projects.
This position requires a strong understanding of construction materials, excellent negotiation skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to identify procurement requirements for villa construction projects.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favourable terms and achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a construction company, specifically on villa projects.
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or construction purchasing.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, terms, and regulations.
