Qualifications

  • Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Basic understanding of process, mechanical, civil, environmental, chemical, or related engineering concepts.
  • Interest in water and wastewater treatment, water reuse, or related infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to AutoCAD, MicroStation, data analysis, modeling, or related engineering software is helpful but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, ask questions, receive feedback, and manage assigned tasks.
  • Attention to detail and an interest in preparing clear, organized technical work products.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical, environmental, civil, mechanical, or a related engineering field at an accredited college or university.
  • Previous internship, laboratory, research, design-team, or related project experience is helpful but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required for travel to project sites in the Phoenix metropolitan area and elsewhere in Arizona.
  • This position will involve a typical office environment working with computers. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Staff may also opt to work a portion of their time at home.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of foundational engineering coursework; coursework in water or wastewater treatment, fluid mechanics, environmental engineering, chemistry, or process design is preferred.
