Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical, materials, ceramic, or mechanical engineering is required. Must possess at least four (4) years of relevant engineering experience. Must have experience with design, refurbishment and/or deployment of ceramic powder manufacturing equipment (i.e., furnaces, size classification, chemical reactors). Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have demonstrated success leading in a team environment. Must have success authoring technical reports. Must be highly motivated and directed with keen attention to detail. Must possess the ability to work independently with minimum guidance. Must be capable of leading multi-discipline teams. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Sol-Gel processing, CVD/PVD coating, fluid bed heat treatment, ceramics and/or nuclear chemistry processing. Knowledge of Uranium Based Fuel Processing in preparation of ceramic/metallic powders (to include the processing of these powders).
