Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical, materials, or mechanical engineering is required. Must have experience with design, refurbishment and/or deployment of ceramic powder manufacturing equipment (i.e., furnaces, size classification, chemical reactors). Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have demonstrated success leading in a team environment. Must have success authoring technical reports. Must be self-motivated. Must show imitative with minimal supervision. Must be capable of leading multi-disciplined teams. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Sol-Gel processing, CVD/PVD coating, fluid bed heat treatment, ceramics and/or nuclear chemistry processing. Knowledge of Uranium Based Fuel Processing in preparation of ceramic/metallic powders (to include the processing of these powders).
