Private Chef / Family Chef (Cranbrook, Relocation)

Position available now, or alternatively in March.

Provide a variety of styles of cooking for Viv/Dean along with frequent visits from groups of 10-25 AlgaeCal leaders.

Cook and clean up for lunches/dinners 5 days per week.

On Fridays, prepare extra meals for the weekend.

90% of food is grown on the ranch

Butchering and processing game and fish is a big plus.

Preserving, pickling, and canning skills are important. If you can make deli meats, sausages and cheeses, even better!

Viv hails from Hong Kong, and she loves every Asian food style - but don’t worry if you don’t have Asian experience. It’s easy to learn! Dean loves nothing better than simple meats and veggies.

Must be able to cook several different countries/regions favorite dishes.

Believer in whole, organic, regeneratively farmed foods. Everything will be made from scratch. We mean everything!

Asian cooking experience, BBQ skills, wild game cooking experience is helpful.

AlgaeCal Acres is 30 minutes from Jaffray, BC and an hour from Cranbrook, so we will provide a vehicle for your work use, or pay by the km to use yours.
