About SecurityScorecard

SecurityScorecard provides cybersecurity ratings and risk-management technology used by organizations across many countries.

Role overview

This is the first and only technical program manager within engineering, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

The role coordinates programs, dependencies, and visibility across engineering squads and domains; it has no direct reports and does not own product or technical decisions.

Engineering domain and squad leads own delivery, while the PMO tracks portfolio-level programs.

What the role does

  • Track cross-squad and cross-domain programs from kickoff through completion and map dependencies before work starts.
  • Build and maintain status systems, dashboards, and reporting; automate status updates, dependency alerts, and reporting with Jira, scripts, and AI tools.
  • Run planning syncs, sequencing reviews, and written updates; investigate stalled dependencies and escalate unresolved issues.
  • Provide accurate engineering inputs to the PMO and support managers' quarter-long champion initiatives with tracking and goal reviews.
  • Measure coordination efficiency as the organization grows and document processes for new squads.

Required qualifications

  • 8+ years of program or project management in engineering or technology organizations, including 3+ years at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Evidence of creating coordination systems and processes that persist beyond the candidate's tenure, including experience in changing organizations.
  • Technical understanding of dependencies, architecture tradeoffs, and the SDLC; no CS degree or coding requirement.
  • Expert Jira administration and comfort with dashboards, reporting tools, and hands-on AI tools for tracking, status summaries, or risk detection.
  • Ability to influence senior engineers and leaders without authority, adapt to team practices, follow through with trust, communicate clearly in writing, and work amid ambiguity.

Preferred qualifications

  • Cybersecurity, defence, or other security-focused product experience; programs spanning hardware, software, and operations; or prior director-level or business operations scope.
  • Experience adapting Scrum, Kanban, or other agile practices, or building agentic workflows and scripts for delivery reporting.

Compensation and benefits

  • Canadian candidates' estimated total compensation range is CAD 200,000–280,000, including base salary and bonus; the posting does not state a pay cadence.
  • Benefits vary by country and include salary, stock options, health benefits, unlimited PTO, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
