Role Description

The Principal Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading multiple projects through all stages of design and construction support, ensuring high-quality technical delivery, client satisfaction, and commercial success.

The role requires a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and extensive client-facing experience within the UAE/GCC market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design and delivery of building projects from concept through detailed design and construction support.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Act as the primary client contact for structural engineering matters and attend client, consultant, and design coordination meetings.
  • Review and approve structural calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant local and international design standards and codes.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineers and technicians.
  • Support project planning, resource allocation, and commercial performance.
  • Contribute to business development activities, proposal preparation, and client presentations.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within a structural engineering or multidisciplinary design consultancy environment.
  • Proven experience in the design and delivery of building projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, healthcare, education, or similar sectors.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and project delivery.
  • Sound understanding of structural design principles, analysis software, and international design codes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • UAE/GCC project experience is highly desirable.
