Role Overview

Securonix is seeking an experienced Principal Software Developer to lead software development initiatives.

The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable cybersecurity solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex cybersecurity software solutions.
  • Oversee and mentor software developers and provide technical guidance.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code using established standards and practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  • Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and integrate appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Troubleshoot software defects and deliver timely fixes and updates.
  • Participate in architecture and design of scalable, secure software systems.
  • Create design specifications, user guides, and API documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • At least 15 years of software development experience focused on cybersecurity solutions is required.
  • Leadership experience managing and mentoring software development teams is required.
  • Expertise in Java and microservices architecture is required.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps practices is required.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, Java build tools, Git, RESTful APIs, JSON, and testing frameworks is required.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and agent integration is required.
  • Willingness to upskill in Laravel or PHP, infrastructure as code, SaaS concepts, and queue-based architecture is required.
