We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Smart & Digital Consultant with expertise in Smart Buildings & Smart Cities to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in smart buildings and cities technology, building solution architecture and schematic diagrams, data strategy, project management, and a deep understanding of emerging technologies and digital concepts within the built environment.
As a Principal Smart & Digital Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading business development in KSA, managing key accounts and overseeing complex delivery of digital projects.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative digital solutions for Smart Cities and Buildings.
Responsibilities
- Support building a business development strategy for KSA that aligns with the existing Smart & Digital discipline strategy.
- Build the portfolio of projects and clients in KSA with alignment and support from the sales leads.
- Engage in business development initiatives including reach out, discovery meetings, event participation, etc, and act as the Smart & Digital expert supporting potential clients in framing new projects.
- Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Lead end-to-end project management efforts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
- Provide expertise and guidance to clients on the selection and implementation of smart cities & buildings technologies to achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage the design and implementation of smart cities & building solutions, leveraging a wide variety of technologies to enhance building efficiency and functionality.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand specific requirements and tailor smart cities & buildings designs to meet their needs.
- Developed high level data strategy, management and governance frameworks for complex digital solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration of smart cities & buildings technologies with existing building systems, optimizing performance and functionality.
- Drive innovation in smart cities & buildings design by staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the field.
- Work closely with internal and external teams to set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure seamless project execution.
- Collaborate across the business to leverage WSP's well-established engineering capabilities and drive innovation across projects.
- Manage and coach team members on business development and project delivery.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in architectural engineering, engineering, computer science, data science, business administration or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Smart Buildings and/or Smart Cities, digital solutions design, IoT systems, and with at least 3 years of specialized experience in emerging technologies such as Digital Twins and/or AI.
- Experience in business development in the Middle East region with a good track record of account management.
- Experience with data integration for complex digital projects.
- Familiarity with data strategy, management, governance, and analysis methods (including statistical analysis and multivariate techniques).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint with a keen eye for design.
- Excellent project management and technical delivery skills, with a drive for excellence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographies and cultures.
- Innovative and forward-thinking mindset, with a passion for driving growth and unlocking opportunities for clients.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects at scale and delivering high-quality outputs.
- Ability to work with agility and adapt to changing client needs.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with a desire to contribute to the growth and development of the team.
