Principal Product Applications Engineer - Scorpio

Role overview

Customer enablement

• Lead partner technical engagements from architecture discussions through design-in and evaluation.
• Conduct on-site and remote bring-up, debugging, and performance tuning at customer sites.
• Translate customer requirements into feedback for product, silicon, and firmware teams.

Validation and technical leadership

• Influence post-silicon validation plans and execute system-level integration.
• Debug protocol, signal-integrity, firmware, and software issues with hardware, firmware, and SI/PI teams.
• Mentor junior engineers, represent the company externally, and author technical collateral and training materials.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years in product applications, systems engineering, or post-silicon validation for high-speed connectivity or networking silicon.
• Strong physical-layer and high-speed serial interface knowledge; hands-on lab experience with scopes, BERTs, and protocol analyzers.
• Direct customer deployment experience and strong technical communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• MS or PhD in a related engineering or computer science field.
• PCIe Gen 6/7, UALink, or UCIe protocol and compliance-testing experience.
• Familiarity with AI/ML rack-scale architectures, GPU fabrics, and accelerator interconnects.
• Python or shell scripting; standards-body contributions or technical publications.

Compensation

• Salary range is CAD 165,000 to CAD 210,000, depending on experience, level, and business need.
• Role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
