Principal Bridges / Structure Design Engineer Qatar Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Bridges / Structure Design Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar!

In this role, you will lead the design and review of a wide range of structures, including bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings and structures.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated structural designs for major infrastructure projects.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Leading the detailed structural design of bridges, tunnels, underpasses, retaining walls, car parks, and public infrastructure-related buildings/structures.
  • Providing hands-on supervision for the production of design drawings, calculation reports, and technical specifications.
  • Ensuring quality assurance of structural design deliverables prior to formal client submissions.
  • Actively coordinating with other technical disciplines to produce well-coordinated designs that satisfy functionality, serviceability, and constructability requirements and provide clash-free configurations.
  • Tracking the progress of assigned design tasks and reporting status to the Design Manager and Project Managers, resolving any issues that may arise during design development.
  • Supporting other engineering activities as required by the Lead Engineer or Design Manager.
  • Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Working in a self-motivated manner and requiring minimal supervision on assigned tasks.
