Technical roadmap and platform

• Sequence roadmap work and identify cross-team dependencies during quarterly planning.
• Set architectural standards, guardrails, and component patterns, with a focus on well-tested components.
• Plan major Angular, .NET, and shared-library upgrades, evaluate technologies, and reduce technical debt.
• Establish deployment patterns and shared CI/CD guidance for consistent, safe team-owned deployments.

Security and AI-native development

• Guide application security, identity and access, and how APIs are exposed and secured.
• Define how humans and coding agents work together and make architecture legible through clear patterns, context, and documentation.

Architecture team

• Lead, grow, and set the operating rhythm for the Architecture Pod, keeping it focused on foundational work.
• Work in the code with architects and provide technical direction in partnership with engineering and product leaders.

Experience and technical qualifications

• Track record architecting a non-trivial production SaaS platform and moving a real codebase toward a target architecture.
• Deep .NET experience, including modernizing legacy .NET Framework systems; the role requires credible coding ability.
• Angular, Azure, and AWS experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of systems and integration architecture, data flow, deployment topology, and safe system evolution.
• Knowledge of API exposure, security, versioning, and how to make API changes without breaking dependent users.

• Security-first approach to authentication, access, and system exposure.
• Pragmatic systems thinking: favor simple, well-understood technology and community solutions over bespoke complexity.
• Comfort with agentic coding tools as a primary development mode and with making software architecture useful to engineers and agents.
• Product and customer focus, with experience partnering with product managers and connecting technical decisions to customer outcomes.
• Leadership experience guiding, coaching, and unblocking engineers and maintaining a healthy team rhythm.
