Position overview

Supports day-to-day integrity, maintenance, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's Pricebook and connected retail systems.

Works with cross-functional teams to translate approved commercial decisions into accurate Pricebook and POS execution.

Pricebook, pricing, and POS

  • Set up and maintain items, authorizations, costs, retail prices, product statuses, UPC/VIN, vendor data, and applicable attributes.
  • Validate effective dates, execute approved promotional changes, confirm store and system execution, and resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Maintain POS attributes including taxes, deposits, age restrictions, and other configurations; assist with upgrades and new functionality.

Support, testing, and controls

  • Troubleshoot Pricebook and item exceptions and coordinate resolution with stores and internal teams.
  • Test items, pricing, promotions, configurations, and system changes; document results and escalate risks before rollout.
  • Audit Pricebook information, identify data discrepancies and control gaps, and support preventative controls and data governance.

Reconciliation and process improvement

  • Support monthly cost-credit reporting, validation, reconciliation, and documentation; investigate missing or incorrect credits.
  • Develop SOPs and system documentation, train internal users, identify automation opportunities, and improve Pricebook workflows.
  • Act as backup for the Price Book Supervisor and perform other reasonably required duties.

Education and experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • Two or more years in retail systems, Pricebook/POS systems, data administration, retail operations, financial systems, or a related function is preferred.
  • Large datasets, system configuration, data validation, transactional retail information, and convenience, grocery, fuel, or multi-site retail experience are assets.

Capabilities

  • Accuracy with item, cost, retail, and system data; ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
  • Technical aptitude, effective cross-functional communication, and ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Self-motivation, ownership, and interest in streamlining processes and leveraging automation.

Compensation

  • Salary range is $60,000–$70,000 per year.
