Role Summary

We are looking for a

mid-level Power Platform Specialist

with strong hands-on experience in

Microsoft Power Apps

,

Power Automate

, and

Power BI

, supported by solid knowledge of

SQL, databases, and business process automation

.

The ideal candidate should be able to design, build, enhance, and support internal business applications, automate workflows, create reporting dashboards, and work closely with business users to convert operational requirements into scalable digital solutions.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, understands business processes, and can build practical solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and database technologies.

What You'll Do?

Power Apps Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain Canvas Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.
  • Build user-friendly screens, forms, galleries, filters, popups, validation logic, and role-based access.
  • Connect Power Apps to data sources such as SQL Server, SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, and APIs.
  • Create efficient Power Fx formulas for calculations, data validation, filtering, patching, collections, and app logic.
  • Optimize app performance and improve user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Power Apps issues reported by business users.

Power Automate Workflow Automation

  • Build and maintain automated flows using Power Automate.
  • Create workflows for approvals, notifications, data updates, integrations, and scheduled processes.
  • Connect Power Automate with SQL, SharePoint, Power Apps, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services.
  • Handle JSON parsing, expressions, conditions, loops, error handling, and response outputs.
  • Support integration between Power Apps and backend systems using Power Automate flows.
  • Monitor flow performance, failures, and exceptions.

Power BI Reporting

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Build datasets, data models, relationships, measures, and calculated columns.
  • Write DAX measures for business KPIs and operational reporting.
  • Connect Power BI to SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, and other data sources.
  • Support report refresh schedules, access control, and report publishing.
  • Work with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and improve visibility of business performance.

SQL & Database Management

  • Write and optimize SQL queries, joins, aggregations, filters, views, and stored procedures.
  • Work with relational databases such as SQL Server or Azure SQL.
  • Understand database structure, table relationships, primary keys, and data integrity.
  • Support data extraction, transformation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in designing backend tables to support Power Apps and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper handling of business rules.

Business Analysis & Support

  • Work with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Analyze existing manual processes and recommend automation opportunities.
  • Prepare functional documentation, user guides, and technical notes.
  • Support UAT, user training, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, finance, supply chain, or other departments depending on project needs.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Power Platform development, business applications, automation, reporting, or data solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience in

Microsoft Power Apps

  • , especially Canvas Apps, including forms, galleries, collections, validations, role-based access, and Power Fx formulas.
  • Good experience with

Power Automate

  • for workflow automation, approvals, notifications, system integration, JSON handling, and error handling.
  • Working knowledge of

Power BI

  • , including data modeling, DAX, dashboards, report publishing, and scheduled refresh.
  • Strong SQL knowledge, including joins, aggregations, filtering, views, stored procedures, and relational database concepts.
  • Experience connecting Power Platform solutions to SQL Server, Azure SQL, SharePoint, Dataverse, Excel, APIs, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Ability to gather business requirements, understand operational processes, and convert them into functional digital solutions.
  • Good troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles for building user-friendly business applications.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform environments, solution deployment, governance, and admin center is preferred.
  • Experience with Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows, or Dataverse is an advantage.
  • Experience building approval workflows, inventory apps, request management apps, operational tools, or internal business applications is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile or project-based delivery methods is an advantage.

AI & Automation Skills

  • Ability to identify opportunities where AI can improve manual processes, user experience, data validation, reporting, or decision support.
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to support requirement analysis, documentation, app design, workflow logic, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of integrating AI-powered outputs with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, or APIs is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
