The Division Of Science At New York University Abu Dhabi Is Looking To Recruit a Post-doctoral Associate, Starting Fall 2026 To Work Under The Supervision Of Prof. Pierre Youssef On Subjects Including (in No Particular Order)

• Random Matrix Theory
• Free Probability
• Functional and concentration inequalities
• Mixing times of Markov chains

The probability group at New York University Abu Dhabi is rapidly growing with a weekly seminar in place. The research interests of the other faculty as well as the organized activities can be found on the Abu Dhabi Stochastics Group page.

The Post-doctoral fellow will be appointed for a duration of two years. Applications are open immediately and will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. A starting date earlier than fall 2026 is also possible. Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Mathematics, statistics or theoretical computer science, and should be within their first 5 years since receiving their PhD.

The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
