Role overview
Deliver automation and control-command systems for traction projects, working with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Field Operations, and support teams.
The role contributes to system architecture, technical monitoring, field support, risk management, and project lessons learned.
Responsibilities
- Perform automation basic engineering activities for projects or programs.
- Define automation and control-command system architectures and provide technical and interface specifications.
- Monitor subcontractors for automation programs and cubicles.
- Participate in factory acceptance tests and provide technical support to Field Operations on design-related issues.
- Participate in change and configuration processes, including managing automation configuration lists.
- Contribute to Return of Experience activities and assist with automation interfaces and risk management.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Automation Systems Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in automation systems; railway transportation experience is preferred.
- Experience in test and commissioning or troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical installation.
Languages and attributes
- Fluent English; Arabic and/or French is a plus.
- Autonomy, motivation, initiative, and interest in technical topics.
