Overview
- Perform comprehensive examinations of the feet, ankles, and lower limbs.
- Diagnose and manage foot and ankle conditions, injuries, infections, and deformities.
- Treat common podiatric conditions such as plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot complications, corns, calluses, and fungal infections.
- Conduct minor podiatric procedures and wound care treatments as permitted by licensing regulations.
- Assess and manage diabetic foot risks and provide preventive care.
- Prescribe and recommend orthotics, footwear modifications, and rehabilitation plans.
- Educate patients on foot care, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
- Request and interpret relevant diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Refer patients to orthopedic surgeons, vascular specialists, endocrinologists, or other specialists when required.
- Adhere to Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi regulations, clinical guidelines, and infection control standards.
