Role overview

Role responsibilities

• Manage and authorize permits-to-work as Area Authority for mechanical and related work.
• Promote onsite safety, enforce HSE requirements, and proactively assess and mitigate risks.
• Guide contractors and subcontractors to meet project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct toolbox talks and intervene in unsafe practices.
• Coordinate PMC management, EPC contractors, and site teams; resolve conflicts and clarify scope.
• Verify mechanical installations, piping, and equipment erection against IFC drawings and standards; ensure QA/QC and close non-conformities.

Expected qualifications

• Degree or diploma with a minimum of 10 years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Oil and gas operating-company experience is highly desired and may substitute for capital project experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and strong command of English.
• Willingness to travel extensively for multi-week periods and adjust work location to project needs.
