PMC Senior Constuction Engineer - E&I

Role overview

Key objectives

• Ensure electrical and instrumentation construction is performed safely and in line with HSE standards.
• Meet project specifications, international codes including IEC, NEC, and ISA, and client requirements; close non-conformance reports promptly.
• Monitor E&I progress, identify bottlenecks, and take corrective measures to meet milestones.

Construction duties

• Lead onsite electrical and instrumentation construction according to IFC drawings, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Manage contractors and site teams, allocate resources, and monitor productivity and timely completion.
• Oversee switchgear, MCC, transformer, cabling, sensor, transmitter, and PLC/DCS installation; support pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Coordinate inspections, maintain QA/QC standards, close non-conformance reports, and verify code compliance.
• Enforce HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure safe work in hazardous areas.

Expected qualifications

• Degree and at least 15 years of oil and gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects over USD 500 million with construction and site management focus.
• Experience in an oil and gas operating company is highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital-project experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong command of English.
• Willingness to travel extensively for multi-week periods and flexibility to adjust work location to project needs.
