Platform Engineer

Role overview

What you will do

• Administer, support, and maintain ServiceNow, including MID Servers and integration points.
• Gather business and IT needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support; resolve incidents, bugs, and defects and build application enhancements.
• Guide platform design and improvements; develop modules, tables, and system policies as required.
• Report on service delivery SLAs/KPIs and maintain technical and process documentation.
• Implement platform code for releases, upgrades, and clones; manage out-of-the-box functionality, enhancements, and maintenance.
• Work with architects, analysts, product managers, and leadership on designs, solution requirements, and the platform roadmap.
• Monitor platform health, usage, and compliance; recommend improvements to functionality and end-user experience.
• Train junior team members and share subject matter expertise.

Minimum requirements

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field; the general role profile describes a degree and 3–4 years’ experience, or an equivalent education-and-experience combination.
• 3–4 years supporting ServiceNow implementation, administration, configuration, and development in a medium or large enterprise.
• 1–2+ years with ServiceNow workflows or Flow Designer.
• Experience configuring ServiceNow applications such as APO, ITSM, ITOM, HR, CSM, SPM, PA, APM, or AI Agents.
• Experience with enterprise ServiceNow, customer best-practice guidance, data migration, third-party integrations, administration, and production support.
• Experience with business rules, scripts, access controls, scheduled jobs, UI actions and policies, catalogs, workflows, email automation, releases, cloning, patching, upgrades, and transform maps.
• Ability to work independently and with a team; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred requirements

• ServiceNow Accounts Payable Operations experience is preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification is preferred.
