Planning Engineer

About This Role

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assets Assessment, planning and risk procedures, and follow up with different sections.

· Facilities Hand over and Take over procedures and follow up with different sections.

· Contributing to the delivery of projects related to asset management.

· Presenting technical solutions to clients and other stakeholders.

· Understanding project specifications and developing time schedules that meet them.

· Monitoring and tracking project progress and writing up reports.

· Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budgets.

· Addressing all planning requirements on assigned projects.

· Addressing all progress monitoring functions on assigned projects.

· Contribute to the improvement of existing planning and progress monitoring systems.

· Ensure project controls are established and maintained on all projects.

· Review of contractor programs in accordance with the contract.

· Provide assessment of Extension of Time claims.

· Contribute to the program sections of Monthly Reports.

· Ensure all key issues are communicated effectively.

· Provide contract administration support as required.

· Provide support for the establishment of project resource schedules.

· Assist with the preparation and review of future bids.

· Developing project master schedule, updating, monitoring and reviewing contractor construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, procurement logs and daily follow-up in addition to the necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures.

· Participating in contract administration.

· Carry out other tasks assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

5 years (minimum) experience.

Assets Assessment, planning and risk procedures in Qatar for 2 years at least.

Preferably with experience in Operations and Maintenance contracts.

Preferably with experience in Drainage Infrastructure.

Competencies:

Knowledge of ISO documentation standards and QCS.

Expertise in Primavera P6.

Attentive to details.

Critical thinking.

Analyses complex technical data such as using logic and quantitative reasoning.

Set priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.

Microsoft Office, Outlook email and SharePoint database.

Education: Engineering Degree

Others:

UPDA-certified or to obtain within this year.

Preferably with experience with Operations and Maintenance contracts.

Language: English (Advance)
