Planning Engineer (Arabic Speaking)

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain project baseline schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.
• Prepare detailed project programs, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against approved schedules.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to obtain accurate progress updates.
• Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and recommend corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Conduct delay analysis and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) documentation when required.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material resources against project requirements and planned utilization.
• Review subcontractor schedules and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
• Participate in project coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, productivity analysis, and project controls activities.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and short-term execution plans for site teams.
• Analyze schedule-related project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project milestones, and reporting requirements.
• Provide planning data, performance indicators, and recommendations to support management decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Mandatory experience in high-rise, high-profile, or mega construction projects within the UAE.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of project planning methodologies, scheduling techniques, resource loading, and progress monitoring.
• Experience in delay analysis, recovery planning, and project reporting.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction practices, project execution processes, and contractual requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple project schedules.
• Valid Driving License is preferred.
