This is a six-month intern-to-hire opportunity for PL/SQL and Java developers.

Workplace and Reporting
- The role is based in Bangalore and is on-site.
- The position reports to a senior backend developer or technical lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions.
- Build and test Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs with senior developers.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, technical documentation, stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning.
- Support integrations between backend services and frontend or third-party systems.
- Apply secure coding, Git-based version control, and unit testing practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Basic to intermediate Oracle PL/SQL knowledge, including queries, procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Good understanding of Java, preferably Java 11 or later, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML data formats.
- Understanding of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to Postman, Git or GitHub, and basic JUnit or Mockito testing frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to banking or financial systems and ERP projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with microservices, Docker, or AWS or Azure cloud platforms is preferred.
- Enthusiasm for learning DevOps and CI/CD tools is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Academic or project experience in Java and SQL or PL/SQL is highly desirable.
- Candidates should demonstrate learning agility, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
