The Pickup Driver conducts vehicle inspections, transports people and materials, and supports transport and site operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking brakes, tires, lights, fluids, and other essential systems.
- Keep the pickup truck clean and in good condition.
- Safely load, secure, and unload materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Deliver and collect items between sites, offices, suppliers, and warehouses.
- Follow UAE traffic laws and company transportation policies.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, vehicle defects, and other issues immediately.
- Maintain trip sheets, fuel records, delivery notes, and other required documentation.
- Transport staff or workers when needed while maintaining professional conduct.
- Coordinate with transport, operations, stores, and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pickup or Light Vehicle Driver.
- Valid UAE Light Vehicle Driving License.
- Previous UAE or GCC driving experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi roads and routes; clean and safe driving record.
- Good understanding of UAE traffic rules and regulations and basic light vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Able to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience delivering materials, spare parts, or supplies to project sites is preferred.
- Fleet or site-support operations experience is preferred.
- Defensive driving training or certification is an advantage.
- Experience in construction, logistics, transport, oil and gas, or industrial companies is preferred.
Pay and benefits
- Pay is AED 2,000 per month.
