Sharjah American International School seeks a dedicated Physics Teacher to deliver instruction and support student growth and achievement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement physics lesson plans aligned with American curriculum standards.
- Teach high school general, honors, and AP physics courses.
- Use varied teaching methods and resources for different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess students through exams, reports, and other methods, providing timely constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, organised laboratory and follow safety protocols during experiments.
- Encourage participation, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.
- Collaborate with science colleagues on curriculum alignment and best practices.
- Participate in professional development, parent-teacher conferences, extracurricular clubs, and school events.
- Communicate with students, parents, and school administration about progress and concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics with an educational diploma.
- At least 2 years of high school physics teaching experience.
- IELTS 6.5.
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team within the department and across phases.
