The school is seeking an outstanding EAL Teacher.
Minimum qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Education, or a related subject.
- Teaching experience in an American curriculum.
Job-specific knowledge and skills
- Teach successfully across age and ability ranges; work under pressure, solve problems, and demonstrate resilience.
- Commit to continuing professional development.
- Differentiate to meet the needs of students with SEN, EAL, and gifted and talented needs.
- Use assessment and performance data to inform planning and teaching.
Teaching and professional duties
- Create a productive learning climate, set clear objectives and targets, and plan engaging lessons with appropriate pace and challenge.
- Assess learning, evaluate outcomes, and use findings to improve teaching and learning.
- Prepare parent reports and attend or support parent and student events.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum plans and schemes of work; undertake other duties assigned by the senior leadership team.
