PHP Full-Stack Developer

Role overview

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant professional experience, with substantial hands-on PHP development experience.

Required technical qualifications

• Strong PHP proficiency and experience with the LAMP stack.
• Experience with Laravel or an equivalent PHP framework.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle SQL.
• Knowledge of Linux environments, Apache web servers, secure coding, and application deployment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, maintain, and enhance PHP web applications using Laravel or equivalent frameworks.
• Design, develop, and maintain database-driven applications and integrations.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Ensure application security, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Maintain applications, databases, and system integrations.
• Follow best practices for version control, testing, documentation, and secure coding.
• Collaborate with IT colleagues and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with university needs.

Preferred skills

• Experience with Java, Python, .NET/C#, Oracle PL/SQL, or Oracle database tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux administration, and web-server technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices is preferred.
• Native Android development with Kotlin or Java, and iOS development with Swift, including backend integration and maintenance, is preferred.
• Higher-education or enterprise IT experience is an advantage.
