Role

The vacancy is for a faculty member in Software Engineering at Al Ain University.

Qualification

  • A Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering from a reputable international university.

Teaching and student support

  • Develop and deliver courses in the specified discipline areas.
  • Monitor student progress, evaluate performance, and provide feedback to improve student success.
  • Teach specialized courses and other courses related to software specialization.
  • Guide students in preparing for local, regional, and international career opportunities.
  • Maintain student relationships that are conducive to learning.

Research and university contributions

  • Conduct quality research and publish in journals of high repute.
  • Support curriculum development and course management in line with university and college standards.
  • Contribute to university and college initiatives, proposals, and projects.
  • Participate in local and international accreditation initiatives.
  • Initiate and participate in community engagement activities benefiting the university and local community.

General conditions

  • At least two years of university teaching experience and a proven record of teaching excellence.
  • Research publications in journals indexed in the Scopus database.
  • Effective oral and written communication in English and Arabic.
  • Advanced use of education technology, including presentations, e-learning systems, and reports.
  • Dedication to continued professional development and curriculum renewal and development.
  • Willingness to provide necessary services to the university and college.
