Provides medication advice and guidance on use and dosage, monitors patient condition and progress, and supports safe pharmacy operations.
Pharmacy duties
- Dispense medications and review prescriptions for accuracy and suitability.
- Advise on drugs, side effects, dosage, storage, safe disposal, and other health topics such as stopping smoking.
- Maintain pharmacy, patient, inventory, charge-system, and controlled-drug records.
- Maintain compliant procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals; assess medication identity, strength, or purity.
- Work with healthcare professionals to review drug quality and effectiveness; order and purchase supplies.
- Manage stock and analyze prescribing trends to support patient compliance and prevent harmful interactions.
- Advise patients on medication brands, medical equipment, and healthcare supplies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or pharmacology.
- Proven experience as a pharmacist.
- Valid DHA license to practice as a pharmacist.
- Detailed knowledge of dosage requirements, administration, chemical compounds, and pharmaceutical brands.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy software such as MEDITECH and Mediware.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 3,000 per month.
