This is an exciting time to join Warwickshire County Council as a Pensions Assistant within the Warwickshire LGPS Pension Fund.
Our high performing Pensions Administration Service is well positioned to take on new challenges, including upcoming government projects and regulatory changes.
We are also embracing new technology‑ and digital solutions to further enhance the service we provide to both scheme members and employers.
About The Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Pensions Assistant to join the Warwickshire Pension Fund for a fixed term contract of twelve months.
The Fund administers the Warwickshire Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 200 employers, and this role offers a varied and rewarding opportunity to support the accuracy and integrity of member records, enabling the correct calculation of pension benefits.
Key responsibilities include
- Processing deferred members into payment
- Preparing pension estimates for active members
- Responding to queries from current and former scheme members
- Working closely with employers and internal teams (such as Payroll)
- Contributing to the overall delivery of an excellent pensions administration service
- You will enjoy meaningful member interaction, collaboration with colleagues across the Council, and the chance to develop specialist knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- While previous experience within a pension environment is desirable, it is not essential—full training will be provided.
