Role Overview

Contract and Salary

• Fixed-term contract lasting up to 12 months.
• Salary is £30,727.23 per annum, increasing to £33,787.71 after 12 months of successful performance in the role.

Working Pattern

• Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Role Profile

• Deliver monthly analysis and reconciliation of pay, benefits, and control accounts.
• Provide technical expertise across the payroll and benefits lifecycle and liaise with HMRC and regulators.
• Manage pension activities for contractual and auto-enrolment services.
• Calculate and analyse payrolls, deductions, statutory payments, and gross and net variances.
• Complete regulatory returns including P11D, P60, PSA, FPS, pension returns, and P45s.
• Coordinate finance accounting activities and reconcile costings and control accounts.
• Support payroll systems projects, upgrades, and testing.

About You

• Experience delivering payroll, pensions, and benefits services in a large, complex organisation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, deadline management, and ability to handle conflicting priorities.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent is required, or candidates may be willing to work toward it.
