Job Purpose
The Payroll Officer is responsible for accurate payroll processing, payroll costing, and compliance with UAE labor laws and statutory requirements.
The role includes preparing payroll cost analysis, budgeting support, and maintaining strict confidentiality of employee compensation data.
Payroll Processing
- Process monthly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure payroll aligns with WPS (Wage Protection System) requirement.
- Maintain payroll records including salaries, allowances, deductions, and benefits
- Calculate overtime, bonuses, leave salary, and end-of-service benefits
Payroll Costing & Reporting
- Prepare detailed payroll costing reports (department-wise and company-wide)
- Analyze employee costs including salaries, benefits, and accruals.
- Assist in payroll budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses
- Provide cost reports to Finance and Management for decision-making
- Reconcile payroll data with finance records and general ledger
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company polices.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and costing information.
- Support statutory reporting and audits
- Coordinate with Finance for accurate accounting entries.
Coordination & Support
- Work closely with HR for employee data updates (new hires, exits, salary change)
- Handle employee queries related to payroll and compensation.
- Assist in final settlements and gratuity calculation
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls are in place.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related
- field3–5 years of payroll experience (UAE experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll costing and budgeting
- Familiarity with WPS and UAE Labour.
- Law Experience using payroll systems / Oracle Fusion.
