Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable **Payroll Accountant / Assistant to Chief Accountant** to manage end-to-end payroll processing and support daily accounting operations.
The role is responsible for accurate salary processing, compliance with labor laws and company policies, timely reporting, and proper documentation control.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records, employee salary data, deductions, and allowances
- Calculate overtime, leave salary, gratuity, and end-of-service benefits
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, company policies, and internal controls
- Handle payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and MIS as required by management
- Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and explanations
- Assist the Chief Accountant in day-to-day accounting operations
- Maintain well-structured electronic and physical accounting records
- Ensure proper filing and document control in line with internal policies
- Coordinate document flow between Accounts, HR, Procurement, and external parties (auditors, banks, consultants
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum **5 years of experience** in payroll and accounting
- Minimum hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll processing for organizations with more than 50 employees, including salary calculation, attendance reconciliation, and payroll accuracy checks
- Sound knowledge of labor laws
- Proficiency in **MS Excel** and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and high level of confidentiality
- Practical experience in document control and accounting documentation management
- Good command of **English** (written and spoken); **Russian language is an advantage**
