Qualifications
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree from an accredited school or college. Completion of Medical Office Assistant Program. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of medical office experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4 years medical office experience PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Healthcare management/administration certification.

Responsibilities
- Perform patient check-in/check-out, including registration, demographic updates, and insurance verification
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments and provider calendars
- Collect co-pays, balances, and maintain accurate payment records
- Answer phones and address patient inquiries with professionalism
- Manage eFax inbox; route referrals, orders, and documents appropriately
- Scan and maintain accurate records in the EMR system
- Coordinate patient flow and notify clinical staff of arrivals or delays
- Schedule follow-ups and support continuity of care
- Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorization processes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, documentation, and organizational policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree from an accredited school or college. Completion of Medical Office Assistant Program.
