Patient Account Rep

• Manage patient accounts by processing payments, adjustments, and collections accurately and efficiently
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance claims, and payment options
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to facilitate accurate billing
• Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations
• Reconcile accounts and prepare reports related to billing and collections
• Assist in the preparation of billing documentation and ensure timely submission of claims
• Educate patients on their financial responsibilities and available payment plans

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred
• Prior experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or healthcare administration is a plus
• Strong knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coding, and billing regulations
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
