Overview
- Canadian University Dubai (CUD) is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer of Computer-Aided Design to join the School of Architecture and Interior Design.
- The successful candidate will be a graduate in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related design discipline, with a strong interest in design education and the ability to support students in developing essential digital design competencies.
- Teaching will focus on key areas of Computer-Aided Design and digital design practice, including:
- Digital drafting and technical drawing using industry standard software
- Building Information Modelling and documentation workflows
- 3D modelling for architectural and interior design applications
- Visualization techniques that support design communication
- Digital workflows that integrate design development, presentation, and production
Key Responsibilities
- Teach part-time courses in Computer-Aided Design, Building Information Modelling, and related digital design areas.
- Prepare and deliver engaging learning activities that support student understanding of digital drafting, 3D modelling, visualization, and documentation workflows.
- Support students in developing practical proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and related digital design tools.
- Provide timely feedback, assessment, and guidance to students in accordance with course learning outcomes.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and professionally focused learning environment.
- Maintain accuracy, punctuality, and effective communication in all teaching related responsibilities.
- Support the School of Architecture and Interior Design in delivering high quality design education aligned with current academic and professional standards.
