Position details

Painting and finishing duties

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture with brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces with primers or sealers and remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or water or abrasive blasting.
• Protect surfaces during work, post paint signs, and clean and store tools and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify paint, stain, or varnish colors.

Work practices and physical demands

• Follow company, safety, security, and quality policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and injuries and complete safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
• Physical work includes reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, ladder use, handling objects of varying size and weight, and moving items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school education is preferred.
• At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required; no license or certification is specified.
